1. Cemetery property purchased ‘at need’, when a death in the family occurs, must be paid in full before interment. That often makes a huge dent in a family’s budget.


2. It also places an emotional burden on the surviving family members. Someone who might not be aware of your wishes, will decide where you will be buried and what kind of funeral you will have.


3. When there is a death in the family, decisions tend to be colored by grief, not governed by reason.


4. When you buy today, you choose what you want and pay today’s prices. Your family will have to pay more later, and they will pay it all at once. Cemetery prices, like everything else in the world, are affected by inflation and rising costs for labor and maintenance.
